Purpose of the role

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for creating and designing a variety of digital materials from conceptualization stage right through to go live

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)  Create and design promotions

  • Design effective and engaging emails that enable the company to meet targets and efficiency objectives
  • Catalogue a collection of great email concepts/ layouts for our weekly brainstorms
  • Design our monthly digital acquisition/ competition page as well as banners and social elements
  • Design clear User Interface screens for both web and mobi to optimise User Experience
  • Proactively research better innovation and techniques across all digital platforms
  • Slice up content images for both mobile and web

Brand identity   

  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all digital elements created
  • Drive constant innovation to enhance the brand identity, brand awareness and campaign effectiveness

Qualifications & Accreditations

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • A relevant Diploma or Certification in Graphic / Web Design

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ working experience as a Web Designer
  • Must be proficient in the following tools: Adobe Photoshop CC; Adobe InDesign CC; Adobe Illustrator and Dreamweaver (or similar text editing tool)
  • A working knowledge of HTML and CSS would be advantageous
  • Experience in direct marketing / retail would be advantageous
